While others focus on surface-level aesthetics, our formulations are rooted in the Sensorial Movement — a methodology we pioneered to bridge the gap between psychological skin comfort and dermatological integrity. We don't just formulate for cleanliness; we formulate for the reactive nervous system of the skin.
Traditional soaps rely on the "Cold Process" method — often utilizing high levels of coconut or palm oils to create excessive foam — we have opted for a century-old North Italian technique. This choice is deliberate: it ensures a more stable, gentle pH that respects the integrity of sensitive and reactive skin — an equilibrium often missing in standard artisan soaps.
- The Castile Distinction: We remain the only atelier in the United States producing authentic Castile soaps { Sapone all'olio d'oliva } (bar and liquid), formulated exclusively from 100% pure extra virgin olive oil.
- Botanical Pigmentation: Color is derived solely from raw vegetable powders, including Spirulina and Alkanet. We reject the use of micas and synthetic pigments, as these can disrupt the skin barrier and cause irritation.
- Controlled Scenting: Scented with pure essential oils at concentrations strictly below IFRA recommendations to minimize the risk of sensitization.
